3 ways to run a complete Blog on Groovefunnels
The methods listed in this article are the Exact methods I currently use to run a blog on my groovefunnels Pro account.
Content marketing is now a must if you are to attract your potential customers and keep growing that customer base. While you can just run ads, the problem with that is, it ends as soon as your ad revenue runs out.
This Post outlines the three currently working methods to run and manage a blog on your website in groovefunnels.
Groovefunnels Promised it’s users grooveblog and have been releasing teasers about it for a while now. But it ends up just being a work in progress which is one of the things I don’t like about groovefunnels.
The three methods listed below are the Exact methods I currently use to run a blog on my groovefunnels Pro account.
- Using a custom blog template.
- Creating a blogging template yourself
- Groovefunnels + Ghost(rated the fastest blogging platform)
- Groovefunnels + Blogger
Using a custom blog template.
Groovepages, the page builder for groovefunnels, works with templates and that’s gives us, the users a considerable amount of flexibility. We can move things around and switch things up till we are satisfied.
Using groovepages, we can create a blogging template from scratch, so as to replicate the look and feel gotten from an actual blog on complete blogging platforms.
If you don’t want to go through the hassle of creating one yourself (I would rather spend my precious time on something else), like I said at the beginning of this post, I created one which I currently use, you can download and import it into you groovefunnels account here.
Pros of Using a custom grooveblogging template
- Everything is done for you.
- Tinkering is allowed, you can edit EVERYTHING on the template.
- Spend your time creating the actual content.
- Your blog stays on your parent domain
Cons of Using a custom grooveblogging template
- It’s still more time consuming than writing on an actual blogging platform like ghost.
- You don’t get stuff like post tags and some other SEO benefits an actual blog has.
- Your content cant be exported later if you change your mind as groovefunnels currently don’t have any backup features.
Creating A blogging template from scratch
Check out the video i made below… creating a Grooveblogging template from scratch in 30 minutes.

I like the look and feel of medium, so I went with a medium styled template for my groovepages blog.
Or you can simply go ahead and get my custom template here.
Groovefunnels + Ghost(rated the fastest blogging platform)
This is what I currently use as it’s free to get started and wicked fast, just like groovefunnels.
Ghost and groovefunnels are the perfect duo for anti-wordpress individuals like me. It’s a blogging platform with it’s main focus anchored on simplicity and the sleek user experience is nothing short of Amazing. I got my blog setup in less than 10 minutes! And the best part is that you can get started for free!. You can read the full setup process here.
Pros of Blog Setup on Ghost
- Stunning out of the box
- Relatively Simple setup process
- Boost’s focus during the content creation process
- Complete SEO functionality Built-in
- You’re In complete control
Cons of Blog Setup on Ghost
- You’ll have to connect it to a subdomain as ghost are two different platforms. Subdomain like - blog.yourdomain.com (where yourdomain.com is your parent domain hosted on groovefunnels).
- Some extra features will require tinkering with code, although to be fair you’ll be fine if you don’t do anything.
Like I said before, I made a full Setup guide which you can find here or simply watch the youtube video below.
Groovefunnels + Blogger
The Google owned blogger has become the goto for blogging beginners who don’t want to spend a dime on the rigorous wordpress setup process.
Full disclaimer: I don’t use blogger, neither do I recommend setting up your blog on blogger. Reasons below:
- It’s owned by Google(which might be good from an seo stand point)
- No ownership over content, simply put “your blog becomes a property of google”.
- Your blog can be shutdown at any point in time.
Still want to go ahead and setup a blog on blogger? No problem, the steps are listed below:
- Head to blogger.com
- sigin with your gmail account
- Input your blog details and choose a theme
- Go over to the settings tab and connect your blog to your subdomain you created in cloudflare.
- Start writing.
There are two reasons I like blogger though, a. no hosting fees and b. you can churn out content at any point in time, as it has a mobile app for writing on the go.
Check the video below for a full setup process.
Conclusions
No matter the Platform you choose don’t forget the No 1. rule “content is king”. I understand I did not cover some other platforms like wix, weebly, squarespace and wordpress.com. They all operate on a freemium basis which is the main reason they were not featured in this post. Well that’s it! Hope I solved your problem? What content would you love to see next?
